portable usb applications i use-Runit

I  have my usb stick autostart with this nice standalone launcher so i can easly acsess my docs and apps from my usb stick.

from the site:

What's this all about?
RUNit is a simple but yet powerful launchpad for Win95/98 and NT(4.0 and above).
RUNit gives you quick access to applications, documents, folders and shortcuts.
Unlike many other launchpads RUNit doesn't occupy any space on your screen
- you only see it when you actually use it.

features

How to use it

RUNit defines a "hot area" on your screen where a click of the right mouse button
makes the RUNit launch-menu appear (see fig. 1).
The "hot area" can be any border
of the screen or even the whole screen.
(you have to hold down the CRTL or SHIFT key while right clicking in "whole screen mode")

now for how i get it to start with my usb stick

make a text file called autorun.txt. now copy and paste the lines between the dotted lines to the text file save it and rename it to autorun.inf .

---------------------------------------------

[autorun]
open=launch.bat
ACTION = Launch portable workspace

---------------------------------------------
you can call it what you want just make sure there is a space befor and after the equals sign.

now rename autorun.txt to autorun.inf

now make a text file called launch.txt . i am just going to start runit.exe because from there i can bring up what ever i want from my stick. the line will look like this.

start \runit.exe\

make sure there is a space after the word start. Do not specifie a drive letter because that will change from computer to computer. just give it the back slashes like you see.

you can start as as many apps as you want. just start a new line like above.

now rename the launch.txt to launch.bat

the next time you plug in your stick, and it asks you what you want to do the first option will be "launch portable work space". I have my runit hide untill i right click the bottom of the screen. It's a beautifull thing.
